When Brenda Sharp recovered from a debilitating neurological disorder, she formed a support group to help others suffering from the rare disease. When she spent 6 months caring for a terminally ill family member, she joined a volunteer organization to help support other families facing end of life issues.
So, it was no surprise that when she heard about Brainwave Optimization (BWO) and how it could help virtually every human being young and old to balance their brains for optimum physical and mental health, she knew she wanted to be a part of it.
After experiencing first hand how a balanced brain could enhance her life, she travelled to Brain State Technologies Headquarters in Arizona to study, and returned as a certified Brainwave Technologist. Brenda then launched Brain Matters in St. Catharines, one of only 4 offices in Ontario, and the only one to serve the Niagara Region.
Brainwave Optimization was first used in 2000 by inventor Lee Gerdes to reduce his own symptoms of post traumatic stress disorder, suffered after he was assaulted by four youths wielding a baseball bat. Today, more than 32,000 people all over the world have experienced BWO for a wide array of conditions, including sleep disorders, anxiety, stress, depression, PTSD, addictions, learning challenges and brain injuries.
Brain training isn’t based on diagnosis and neither is it concerned with specific symptoms a client may be experiencing. Rather its focus is on the degree of balance and harmony the brain experiences. It was designed for relaxation, self-regulation and meditation. Ultimately this non-invasive process produces personalized exercises to balance and optimize your brain. This technology is currently being used in over 17 countries, helping clients restore balance and harmony for a more effective life.
Country singer Wynona Judd credits Brainwave Optimization with helping her lose weight and discontinue 4 medications that she previously found necessary. Kurt Sauer, an NHL defenseman with the Phoenix Coyotes is pleased with the progress he is making after using this technology to help with his recovery from a concussion suffered during a hockey game.
Brain Matters is pleased to be able to provide this technology to residents of the Niagara region. If you would like more information about how Brainwave Optimization may benefit you in your personal or professional life, Brenda would love to hear from you.
